Default Has anybody got a Bush DFTA5A/SAA

If anyone has one of these units would they be so kind as to remove the cover and tell me the numbers that are on the IC near the switching transformer. It starts with TNY2xxx

Mine got hit by lightning and blew the chip to smithereens. The chip is a "tiny switch device" which there are many variations hence the help needed. Its rather a strange IC it has one pin missing but thats normal.

    Cheers GranDad

I know this isn't helpful, but I suggest buying a power surge protectors, one that has a lifetime warranty of a set value, e.g. $75,000, $150,000, these should block future surges, and if not, the manufacturer will pay to replace the item, even if the item is not under warranty. Suggest getting one with Coax in/out as it will prevent surges from the antenna.

The IC you asked about has the following markings:

    Top right corner K641
    Middle TNY265PN - the "6" could be an "8"
    Bottom 42072C

I supplied the extra details in case further ID is required.
    Cheers
