Homebrewing Beer - Coopers
Howdy all,
I have done a fair amount of homebrewing in the past with brands from brigalow to tooeys. But when i brew coopers I always have the fermenter go nuts. And it literaly bubbles through the fermenter. What am I doing wrong ? Is it that i havent cleaned the fermenter enough or I leave wort too long before adding yeast ?. Every other brand i brew works ... uggh.
Thankyou in advance

i brought the coppers kit for christmas for my father inlaw and he hasnt had any problems and has used AussieHomeBrewer.com aswell many times for reference, i will check in with him and see if he can shed any light on it for you. They seem to be a great kit
What do you mean it keeps bubbling. Mine does bubble a fair bit when its going (I do pale ale) and you can hear it going fairly well if its at the right temp. Probably goes with regular bubbling for around 4-5 days and then it slows down, and thats usually around the time its ready to go.
I've found that if its not bubbling then the temp for the kit is usually too low, if its going bunta it might be the temp is on the high end of the kit (likely at this time of the year).

I just put down a Brewcraft English Bitter, using 1kg maltodextrin (sp?) and added crystal and chocolate barley and East Kent golding hops.
