Default Wilkins Ice Shelf & Italian earthquake connection

    Hi all

Since the Italian earthquake over the weekend, and the collapse of the Wilkins Ice Shelf bridge in Antartica, I'm wondering if there is a connection that the Italian earthquake may have somehow contributed to the collapse of the Ice bridge connecting the Wilkins Ice Shelf to Antartica.

I dare say its a dam big coincidence the two events occurred almost simultaneously,

I think the seismographs monitoring Mt Erebus would've recorded the bridge collapse and if you look at the time stamps they would not coincide.
