ive been with engin on the 14.95 plan for about 6 months
    no dramas with them.

guess its about time to look around for a new provider as well.

I had a few lines with penny tell when they gave out DID's for free, no problems with those.

But if u jump onto whirlpool forums theirs quite alot of whinging about pennytel, not sure if its actually pennytel or whingepool though

I have been using Freecall for two years now and I am extremely happy with the service and support provided.
It is a very economical VOIP service to use. Highly recommended.

Although I read the Whirlpool forums occasionally, I don't take too much notice of what is posted there, simply because much of the comment is purely whinging. It's a fact of life that people are slow to praise but quick to whinge!

Pennytel not too bad - have the occassional switch to "Dalek" voice mode when it decides to go gympy for a few seconds - but overall good.

I also gto a MyNetFone setup, and so far, it is winning for quality, and price wise - the calls on PT are 0.08c and MNF are 0.10c

    So I guess that's my 0.02 ?

    CHEERS!

Only switched over to Pennytel a few weeks ago. So far no problems. I like the feature where you can set your caller id number to be something else. Would like to be able to port the old Telstra number across but not sure that's possible.

Have to agree have been using them for about 4 years and as I install thier service on my customers phone systems it has to be good.
If you make a lot of local and national calls I haven't found any body that beats them
Willy runs the show and is very helpfull with any problems

Been with PT for more then 12 months, I am happy with the service and cost.
Some minor issues that have been resolved without issue.
It has saved me a fortune especially working in china, family & friends would ring my local PT number, it was redirected to my china sim for 8 cents untimed.
In the past I would have used Skype out, now I think Skype out is expensive.
If you want a reliable, cheap Voip service it is the way to go, not really business grade.

Probably use them for a year now on my Billion 6404VP
Telephone costs are over 70% less, even though I still have to pay Telstra line rental but it is great to have two lines.
Only had issues with their website and trying to give them money but since they have BPAY never a problem.
Their online chat service works well and they have been always helpful to me.

Unless you have wireless broadband or 3g which is hideously expensive if you like to have about 70GB download a month available, you will need to pay for the copper wire.
    I'm on Exetel's 1.5Mb/s plan which gives me 72GB for $53.
I won't see ADSL2 for a long time yet where I live, so there is no alternative other than shoving $30+ directly down Telstra's gut.

Pennytel also does not handle 1300 numbers!!!

Sound is always good if you use the right codec, but time delay can confuse some ppl.

    Billed 25c per call.
Haven't been trying for ages anymore as I just press the "R" button on my phone.
