Smile Which USB Loader are you using?

With the explosion of programs that can now load games off mass USB storage devices i was just wondering what version and what build you were currently using. There are some really good looking loaders using covers to display games but i've heard some of them are a bit buggy.

I am currently using Wanninkoko's officail 1.4 to play the games and his official 1.1 to rip them (1.4 seems to take much longer to handle this task.)

I was looking at using this one or something similar. Would like to get a stable one that looks a bit nicer then Wanninkoko's.

Hey Nathan, I am currently using 1.1 with nice boxart from here

Works a treat, only a couple of games don't work. Reliable and not buggy..

I will probably give this one a try next 1.4 V7Beta3, although seems only to be a only a dol, no wad verison yet?...

Check on GBAtemp....this software is being updated incredibly fast...24 hours is long time!...

Just for interest I run Wii System menu 3.3E PAL with a WD Elements 2.5" 320GB. The drive works a treat....quiet and low power consumption.

I have tried that USB loader and it seems good. I have no idea about getting the covers on the drive but that one says it automatically downloads them. Where abouts on the drive do you put the boxart and do you use WBSF manager to get it on the drive?

No, the images go on your Sd card...Follow the instructions in the config_readme.txt file....should show you what to do.

Got it all going. On this page it has heaps of loaders. I used the ultimate USB loader with the attached config.txt file and it works a treat downloading the covers and changing settings. They have a stable V7 of both 1.4 and 1.1. I have seen some really good looking ones but this version seems to be the most supported at the moment.

Update to Ultimate 1.5 as the disk dump to hdd speed have been fixed so it's fast like 1.1...not slow like 1.4....

I'm using Ultimate 7.1 1.5.....He is updating everyday so check back daily...up to 7.4 1.5 I think....although these little updates may not make much difference..just little tweaks for features we may not use..

With all these iso's being smaller, whats to go when burning the iso's to disc, can they be that small or do they need to be padded up to 4.38gig

theres some wbfs manager apps where you dont even need to use the wii to dump backup games, you just use your computer's dvd drive.
its heaps faster than using the wii.
for originals you use an LG or the usbloader to dump the games.

instead of just iso to usb drive(wbfs)
you can do usb to usb drive
    or dvd to usb drive.

first one has been translated from chinese, but you should be able to work it out.

this i havent tried but it should be the same, has better english.

keep an eye out on new versions of some WBFS managers,IMO this is much better to dump the games on the usb.
