That's not the way Longitude is calculated.
If you imagine a circle around the world at the Equator, 0 or zero degrees is at a point directly South of Greenwich Observatory in England. Longitude is then calculated as 180 degrees East or West of that point. The International Date line is closely taken to be 180 degrees East or 180 degrees West of that point. This is roughly on a line North and South near New Zealand.
The East Coast of Australia is approximately 150 degrees East of Greenwich, so, any Satellite located at 105.5 East, is in fact, to the West of us.
I hope that makes sense, otherwise I'll have to try and find a diagram to explain it all. This may help. This is how we would see the Satellites in our Sky from the East Coast of Australia.
