Default Xp Hardware Detection After Reboot

I installed a pci HDTV tuner into a Via mini pc and every time it boots up i get the new hardware found and then installs the software for it again, is this a bios issue or XP issue ? SP3 is being installed as i type so it may or may not resolve it, anywhere else i should be looking ?

Try uninstalling the driver in Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Device Manager then shut down the PC, wait a few seconds turn it back on and re-install the hardware and see how it goes.

    OR

Run a registry cleaner over the registry. Try ccleaner.

    OR

You can try this, but it is really for unknown devices wanting to install on each boot:

First, left-click on the Start Button, then follow this route:

Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.

The Hidden Devices are those that Windows has had connected in the past. They have yellow icons beside them. Identify the problem one, right-click on it, and select Uninstall.

When you boot again, you should not have the same problem. If you do, then you uninstalled the wrong hidden device. Try again.
