    thinking about modding a psp just wonderig if ineed a pandora battery or is there another method that doesnt require it anyhelp would be apreciated and by the way its not a 3000

    last time I looked into it, the pandora's battery is the easiest. you can do without it if you have the right firmware and the right games to run the exploit etc etc.

    just buy a battery and save yourself the headache

    If you insist on going down the path of DIY then everything you need can be found

    ok i made my own pandora battery and flased firmware installed umd dump but keep getting error the game could not be started.any ideas

    I didnt know there was a limit I guess it has to do with the version of the firmware. as Sony releases larger memory sticks, they update their firmware to support it. So it should come down to what version firmware you have.

    So, confirm your firmware version and tell us how you are tyring to run the game, where is it located and whats the exact error message?

    Try this if you are using M33.
    In the M33 recovery menu, select configuration and change UMD mode to 'M33 Driver -NO UMD-'
    or in the M33 VSH Menu change UMD ISO Mode to M33 driver

    my psp will only work when you leave the original UMD cartridge in then access the memory card
