    Default DVTel (DVT7401D)

Hi, i have installed a few of these encoder decoder combinations before and for some reason sumtimes they tend to just go offline and needs a power reset on both sides to bring it back online... Sometimes a reset via the software does the trick but mostly u have to phisically pull the plug on them..

Does anyone know why this is? I think its just crappy product, can someone please prove me wrong??

    thanx

No, I can't prove you wrong.
    How big is the system?

Its an American Dynamics PTZ dome running through the DVtel encoder, then the network runs through a Trango wireless network which is working fine, (its only carrying data for two of these cameras) and then it gets decoded by a single channel DVtel at the DVR end... Ive just upgraded the firmware and replaced power supplies, so will see wot that does...

    Hi everyone
I have a problem with this DVTel encoder (7401DA).
I have attached it in a DiMax DVR but I can't find it on the net.
    Does anyone have a manual?
I have also reset it but i don't know the Ip default address...do You know it?

    Thank You in advance!

Ah, the joys of IP video.

    Camera - Encoder - W/Less access point - Network switches - routers - more switches - decoder - DVR

    So many failure points...

Are the encoder/decoders in a cool dry place? Those things run pretty hot, may need to look at cooling them.

The decoder with the cams operate very well
But if I want to connect a cam with this encoder (used some month before) I'm unable to find it on the net...don't know why.
