Default easy homebrew install with twilight princess

i have put together a easy package to install

    homebrew channel
    backup loader channel
    gamecube loader channel
    usb loader 1.5 app
couple of ios required for some newer games (38,53,55)

it will format and setup the sd card for you to run the twilight hack and install the homebrew channel

from there you run the wad batch installer
and then the cios rev 10 upgrade.

After that you can enjoy all your soft modded wii goodness..

    anybody interested???

This install is all off line so no internet connection is required
Works on wii up to version 3.4e

    You require
    1 wii
    1 wiimote
    1 sd card (max 2gb min 512mb)
    1 nunchuck
1 copy of Zelda twilight princess (only need for 10 mins then never again)

If anybody wants to test it let me know

can you change it to install the USBLoader 1.5 & Wadmanager 1.3 WAD's as channels so no need to enter homebrew channel to run each would be nice addition

Based heavily on wii softmod for dummies

I take no liability for damage etc etc

    What’s needed
    a. Wii
    b. Wii remote
    c. SD card
    d. Wii Zelda Twilight Princess game (original, not a copy)

    2- Determine you firmware version
    a. On your wii
    b. open the 'Wii Options' Menu ('Wii' round button on the lower left corner)
    c. Click 'Wii Settings'
    d. Look on the upper right corner for your version.

    3- Prepare your SD card
    a. Double click on the install.bat
    b. Refer to the section 2 to determine you firmware version
Type ‘O’ (no quote) for old firmware and ‘N’ for new firmware
    c. Check where your SD card is mounted.
If it’s mounted as drive E:, write ‘E’ (no quote and no colon)
    d. If your SD card is already FAT16 formatted, you can say no (type ‘N’). If you don’t know or if your SD card is FAT32 (or any other file system), say Yes (type ‘Y’). Caution: if you say YES, your card will be formatted and all your data will be lost.
    h. That’s it, your SD card is ready

4- Install Homebrew Channel via Twilight Hack
    a. Look at this Youtube demo if you need confidence:
    b. Put your SD card into your Wii
    c. If you have never played Zelda, start it and create a save file.
    d. Exit Zelda
    e. Open the 'Wii Options' Menu ('Wii' round button on the lower left corner)
    f. Click on Data Management
    g. Click on Save Data
    h. Click on Wii
    i. Locate the Zelda save, click on it and click 'Erase'
    j. Click on the SD Card tab (uper right corner of your screen)
    k. Click on the twilight Hack save and click 'Copy'
    l. Click back until you reach the Home menu
    m. Start Zelda
    n. Load the saved game
    o. Move the character backward.
    p. Press the ‘1’ button on your wii remote to confirm and follow on screen instructions Once finished, Homebrew channel is installed
    q. Your homebrew channel is now installed.

8- Install the Backup Launcher Channel and more
    a. Click on your new Homebrew Channel
    b. Press Start
    c. Click on WAD Batch Installer and select Load
    d. Press A to install IOS16 and CIOS249.
    e. Press A to batch install all the included channels: Wii Backup Launcher, GameCube Backup Launcher and DVD Dumper. Usbloader and some ios
    f. The WII will reboot itself at the end of the installation.
    g. Click on the Homebrew Channel
    h. Press Start
    i. Click on cIOS36 Installer and select Load
    j. Press A to agree
    k. Verify the installation mode is set to < WAD installation >. If not, press left or right to change mode.
    l. Press A to start installation.
    m. Wait until the end of the installation
    n. Press A to restart the Wii
    o. That’s it. Everything is installed and you are ready to play.

Getting the same problem as sirhrt. Have previously downgraded another machine without problems. Currently on 3.3e and trying to downgrade to 3.2.

From memory last time I needed to convert elf files to dol. Now I've got a boot.dol in the root of the sd card (as prepared by the program in the link above) and the app is looking for a .elf?

Can't find a converter to do that.

    128 meg sd card.
    EDIT##

Fixed, was using an old phone micro SD card in an adapter. Put in a plain 1 gig full sized SD card and all was good. Easy fix.

    Cheers,
    Pom
