    Default CoPilot Live

    Hi All,

I have been a long term user of CoPilot Live on my PDA, over 3 years. I have moved from ver 5.0 to Ver 6.0 and now Ver 7.0

Has anyone else done upgrade to Ver 7.0?

    Blooming 'ek.

I was disappointed with upgrade from Ver 5 to Ver 6, nothing special for Australia region. With this upgrade the road between Bacchus Marsh and Gisborne does not exist, any directions sent me via the cape and elsewhere.

    Just one beef. :-)

Then the spin about up-grade to ver 7 from suppliers. Updated maps and features. I was sucked in !!

Yep updated features, nice, but lost "Text to Speech", an available novel accessory , but sometimes nice.

The maps as far as I have traveled at the moment has not been updated from ver 6.0. I ver 6.0 I had some form of Camera locations, maybe default and no update, nothing with ver 7.0

This product has focus on Europe and USA as far as I am concerned and I will not be spending money again on this software upgrade.

I did send a mail to the sales support of supplier, spelling out my concerns 2 days ago. I do not expect any reply. I will not recommend this GPS software in future based on my experience

I know I should do a search on site, but any immediate suggestions for PDA replacement GPS software that works well, please advise.

    Cheers

    Hi orica,

Here is the link to supplier of this GPS software.

I do not think there is any way to trial the software and the single license install of the software is fixed to the one PDA at any time.

I have found the software good, that is why I stuck with it through 2 x upgrades. But as explained I was disappointed with the developments that have limited functionality in Australia. Its focus is the Europe and USA market.

Ver 6 did have detail of fixed safety cameras and was on the ball with most that have been permanent fixtures for some time on the freeways around Melbourne, but I did not witness any updates. Now with Ver 7.0 to turn on this function under the menu options is grayed out.

I have found the PC interface is a lot friendlier than previous versions, but the functionality of the

    anyway good luck
