Alcohol 120% and Alcohol 52% (stripped down version) are both great.

Hi there,
I need some assistance for a recommendation for the best virtual CD / DVD Rom software applications out there that also handle applications.
I have a P3 machine (with 2 x HDD's) for my young sons that I use for their PC education. I have alot of kids educational CD roms (Reader Rabbitt, Jump Start series etc).
I want to load the images from all of these CD's onto one of the HDD's and load them from a virtual CD / DVD ROm software application.
I have used apps like Daemon Tools and GameJackal Pro, but I've had limited success as only a few of the educational applications I load will work. I usually get error messages like 'insert original cd rom into drive' etc.
I am wondering if anyone has had a similar situation, and what is the best method of loading multiple app images onto HDD and running from there. I'm at my wits end and would greatly appreciate some pointers
regards
Jango

works good for me
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
chances are the protection emulations for daemon-tools were not activated.
It is probably the best for mounting disk images, of even copy protected apps. can safely emulate almost anything as long as the image was made correctly.
Alcohol is a little to heavy for a machine that old to be running but the 52 version will probably be a bit better.
Gam-jackal should be able to emulate the copy protection as i have used it on straight data dumps for games without any of the protection details being stored in the image.
