    Default Xado Engine Revitilisant

Has anyone tried this product? It is suppose to cat the internal bearing walls of an engine with a cermet layer, and they claim the result to be similar to that of a new engine.

Ive heard of many products over the years that claim those sorts of things.

Personally in high stress situations i only add molybond to my lubricants.

One thing you need to understand about any additive that makes a surface smoother by filling in the pits, is that oil consumption goes up through the roof.

The slippery surface tends to allow for the piston rings to fly over the oil rather than wipe it away resulting in it not being wiped and being burnt during combustion.

Ive owned and seen others engines using additives, oil consumption generally goes through the roof, so bad in some cases that the oil level would drop dangerously low well before its next service.

Whenever using them i keep a very close eye on the oil level regularly.

The better the product, the higher the oil consumption.

On the bright side ive seen some real gains in loss of internal wear in engines that have used them.

And im talking about bearings that look almost still new after races, and road cars engines with very little wear internally.

    Sorry, forgot one thing.

If your worried about engine wear that has already occurred, run a thicker oil.

Dont rely on an additive doing much more than a heavier weight of oil.

We use xado on all our trucks at work and yes it does work. It extends the life of our engines dramatically. The best one is the cylinder xado, i think its the one in the purple packet. I've used it on a couple of bikes with no compression. It fixes em right up.
