    How much do you want to spend, I have a nice pair of Sennheisers (RS140 I think), they are pretty nice. But they are expensive!!!!

    Just checked they are the 130s (found the box!), I wouldn't go with the 120s because they have a much worse range. The 130s are the sweet spot (I remember wanting the 140s initially but the $$ is too much).

    When I mean range I mean the actual sound range not the distance from the base station.

    If you want them for just in bed and you have line of sight and dont care about the sound then get a set of IR ones, if you want a decent sound and want an RF model then the Sennheisers are quality ones to get. Mine have a good range, about the same as a cordless phone (say 30 metres with walls, Sennheiser claim 100m). Unfortnately the words you used in the question do actually conflict with your idea of use.

    BTW this is my second pair of Sennheiser wireless, I broke my old pair though use (every day for 5 years, I use them for gaming because my partner hates to hear the games when she is in bed reading).

    range=distance

    & for watching TV, the audiophonic excellence isn't a priority

    Got my Sennheisers 130s on friday real happy good range and sound,and don't need to use subtitles when kids are in the room.Thanks to all who replied.

    Couple of little annoying things are tune button next to volume and the volume controls a bit sensitive.

    mmm cordless head phones sound like a good idea. Especially when watching porn on the computer.

    LOL Caveman, I hit the tune button on a regular basis with mine. That would be my biggest complaint with these headphones.

    I use mine with the computer but thats due to my volume when gaming (need to hear footsteps!)
