2G iPhone questions
I accidentally bought a 2G iPhone and I was wondering if it would work on my current Telstra Next G card which is already on a contract, and if not would a 3G one work? And do you think it would be worth upgrading to the 3G? I have read a bit but people seem to have very different opinions, and the main thing I have noticed is that 2G has longer talk time and 3G runs faster. If it helps I plan to use it mainly as a diary, I don't make many calls or browse the net often since I spend most of my (non-studying) time in an office with a computer. And this last question is probably really obvious - is the 2G phone the 1st generation and the 3G the 2nd? TIA

the 2G iphone or GSM model (1st generation phone) is great as a PDA phone camera ipod.
Just ask you phone telco for a GSM sim card and plug it in.
