    Default Small Games

Does anyone have recs for "small" games? I recently found Braid, And Yet It Moves and Eets to be great fun

Things which aren't 4GB and come in a box

The kind I mainly mean are casual, indie games - like the ones from Bigfish or LDW.

Try those online flash games. They are pretty small and still some of them are quite fun. They are available in thousands of numbers as well and are free too.

Indie games are what you are after. Some recommendations World of Goo (puzzle, excellent), Crayon Physics Deluxe (puzzle), Penny Arcade Adventures 1 and 2 (RPG), Bionic Commando Rearmed (Hard!)

Have a look at and you will find some previous winners who have games out now, and even some that entered that have beta testing avaliable.

Nexiuz is a great FREE multiplayer FPS which works on linux or windows. It has bots, so you can play alone if you must. It has good graphics and great game play - it feels 'fast' like the old quake shooters. It's based on a quake engine.

~600mb +30mb for map-pack. I don't think you even have to install it, just unzip and play.

Edit: Urban Terror looks pretty good - similar to counter strike. ~700mb. Linux + windows + mac.

    Cheers, RHCP.

Small games, i guess you could try a few golden oldies, you know classic games before they invented the DVD.

    Diablo 1
    Dungeon Keeper 1
    Sim City
    Quake
    Doom

    etc.... all should be 300-700mb.
