if i remember right there is no way to adjust the clutch on this unit if its slipping or not dis-engaging then its time to replace the clutch assy

The honest truth is i dont know.

Stick your head under the clutch pedal assembly and look for a adjuster on the end of the clutch push rod to pedal join.

Check your slave cylinder for a adjuster.

Check where the throwout fork goes into the bell housing for a inspection hole/plate with a lever adjustment pivot point inside the bell housing.

Then do as everyone else above said.

I have a feeling those who posted before me know something i dont and are probably right on the money.

If the pedal has gone soft or feels different all of a sudden (not a slipping clutch) look towards bleeding the system.

It's just that it engages in about the last 10% of travel & has done for years. I decided to try adjusting as the car is gone within 6 months. No adjustment on pedal , slave cyl or throwout. Someone told me the adjustment for the newer fords is in the bell housing & I thought this may be the same. Guess I'll just treat it gently for the next couple of months. Thanks all

    Yep sounds worn.

Just keep your take off revs down, and dont slip the clutch as best as you can....try to get off the pedal ASAP without stalling it.

Come to think about it, i drove a mates Navara about 2-3 years ago and the pedal did feel much higher than other cars.

Being a workhorse Ute, they would have a HD pressure plate keeping slippage to a minimum. The main thing is to keep the load light and try not to open the throttle and load the drive train while you still have some clutch plate left.

Once slippage begins, its all downhill very quickly.
