WII HDD INSTALLING games freeze

My wii has firmware 3.2 with usb loader 1.1
A Lacie 150gb external hdd i can copy games to the HDD but after short playtime they freeze and crash the system is it because of my hdd or something else?

Any help would be awesome

is the drive self powered ? If so,try connecting both plugs (ie power & data) into the back of the wii..

Also try one of the later loaders like 1.5

If you go to 1.5 loader you will have to update to cios rev 10 if you haven't already
