Default Portabel DVD Player for In-Car Entertainment

    Hi.

I am after a portable dvd player to suit my 10yo girl for long car trips.

I want an optical drive that supports DVD, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, SVCD, Video CD, CD, CD-R/CD-RW, MP3-CD, Picture CD and DivX.

In addition, it must have SDHC and be compaitble with 5th generation iPods.

Unit must have AV input, AV output and 2 headphone sockets.

I need guidance and advice on the following:
Ideal screen dims/specs/viewing angles (no over bright pixels)
    Power options
    Battery life
Inbuilt sepakers and sufficient volume without distortion
    Responsiveness and functionality of remote
of this unit – I need your help here in outlining the best options for these items...
    Weight, handling, durability and looks

Support for Dolby Digital and DTS decoding (for true 5.1 sound when external speakers are added)
Aspect Ratio 16:9 and still support 4:3
    Non-glossy screen

Ability to charge from multiple sources (AC adapter and DC adapter)
    Detachable battery
Between 2 -5 hours continuous playback
    Option of second battery
Use of 2 smaller, thinner batteries preferable to one larger battery
Wide viewing angle of at least 160 degrees
    High-quality TFT (thin film transistor)
    Excellent skip rotection
    Blue Ray

Possible options include internal hard disk drive and recording capabilities and possibly even a built-in TV tuner

    PLease help.

    Cameron

You wont find even half of those features in an in car unit let alone a portable unit.

    Default Dont want much

You will struggle to find all you want at present but here is a list to give you some idea.

The Toshiba one can output the sound you want via an amp with the correct decoder and also supports USB drives which is a great option for media storage.
