I'll hear back about the 20 tommorow. If its all ok ill order them and should be here within a week. Then ill start accepting payments and from the time you pay it shoudlnt be more than a week for you to get them.

I will offer PayPal as I know some like the security of using a credit card for buyer protection etc. I can't stress enough though that I would prefer bank deposit due to PayPal's high fees.

It means that if you intend to use this box with an Irdeto card, you won't be able to use the built-in cardslot. You'll have to use a cam inserted in one of the two CI slots instead. With the current situation this is probably not an issue anyway as the sellers cards are dead and Austar subscriber cards will only work in the provider boxes.
The built-in card slot is still good for reading any other cards just not Irdeto.

gado, lextsy and antena have not hit the thanks key at Post #1. Assuming they still want one, we have 23 units in total (Hillsbysa and spence each want two)

    Hi Guys,

If you guys are happy with the info below this group buy will go ahead.

I have come to an agreement with the supplier regarding the purchase of a smaller quantity of these than I had initially intended to purchase. He has agreed to supply them at the same price although I have to pay the transport fees which I wouldn't have otherwise had to pay.

This isn't much of a problem although I will have to say that if you guys want to pay with PayPal you will have to pay the related fees. These are:

Relook No HDD - $6.00 extra
Relook with HDD - $7.00 extra

If you choose to pay via direct deposit I won't charge you any extra. In either case you will be provided with a tax invoice prior to you having to send payment which does offer you some piece of mind.

Another issue I have had is sourcing the IDE hard drives required for these units at a competitive price. I currently have 11 in stock and I will offer these to the first 11 people who asked for one in this thread. If any of these guys no longer want to continue with the purchase or no longer want a hard drive I will offer it to the next person in the list. I will continue to search for cheap drives over the next couple of days anyway.

You can use any IDE hard drive in these units up to 750gb (tested) and possibly higher. You are free to fit one yourself without voiding the warranty unless there is clear damage as the result of you fitting the drive.

I will shoot off a PM to all the members interested so far with all the final details. If anyone else wants one I can't stress enough to get in now because it will be extremely difficult to provide these at this price unless I can place another bulk order.

    Thanks, Daniel

    HI,

I'll go one, with a bigger HDD, please let me know what prices you come up with. 160+gig is on the little size. IMHO. looking @ 320gig min. I am happy to source one, if its just a matter of wacking it in. (I'll do a search for info later tonight)

I'll pay via DD. so you and I do not go through the paypal costs.

It is just a matter of wacking it in. Nothing complicated at all. I'll let you know what I come up with but I would say you would be better sourcing a single drive probably from eBay etc.

    Thanks, Daniel

Are these 2.5" (laptop) drives or normal 3.5" ?

If they physically can take a 3.5", i'll take my unit with no hdd..
