How many of you are still using Windows XP.
I have both Vista & XP installed, and most days both OS's shit me.
Who still prefers XP over vista, and why?

still use it on my netbook.
its a atom 1.6ghz processor, dont like the thought of running vista on that.
Using vista business on the desktop, no complaints or issues.
Running 8gb's of ram and i dont reboot it for weeks on end without a issue
Have Win7 dual booted on the desktop but i havnt used it since i installed it, didnt see much of a difference between the two, but then again maybe i didnt look hard enough.
I prefer XP it’s what I know but most important most PLC software I use only runs on XP and no one is going to change a PLC system worth tens of thousands just to suite Bill Gates
It's hard to make a come back when I havn't been anywhere
I finally got my head together, now my bodies falling apart.

XP all the way.
XP will do anything Vista will do and uses far less resources.
Run a comparison between Vista and XP on the same machine, try it, vista is shit, maybe it is ok if you don't mind waiting........
Vista on all machines with no problems at all , its pretty much fault free since the service pack came out.
Still XP for me, not thinking of replacing it either.
ITrush <my blog
xp on notebook and netbook, vista business on office pc. no problems.
windows 7 dual boot on office pc, seems ok...
had vista on one of the machines.... had to get all new VISTA apps for it. could not be bothered, so its XP. I like windows 7 (the looks of it anyway).. (not that I have used it) so might wait for that....
although I remember reading about how hard to was to network/printers etc.,... did not find any problems with it. maybe should have used it for longer
If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.
XP SP3 on my main PC and Laptop, Win2000 Server SP4 on my server.
I find so many little anoying things with Vista and Win 7, I doubt I'll ever make the switch.
I am very happy with Vista
BUT "ALL" my customers that need to choose between Vista or XP
XP has been requested 100% of the time. Something about the Devil they know LOL.
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Xp on all 5 computers here and have no intention of switching till windows 7 is proven not to be another windows ME/VISTA failure
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it
xp on main PC, and on kids PC, had VISTA ultimate on laptop for nearly a year
( never crashed ?? LOL).
running windows 7 64bit on another laptop, looks like MS got their act together finally.
unlike VISTA, all apps and hardware working fine under windows 7.
XP here, i know it works and as best4less mentioned, better the devil you know.
Besides, everytime Microsoft produces something its full of bugs, ill go Vista when their next OS comes out. LOL
used vista for a week and formatted and went back to xp.
vista blows chunks
xp is the lesser of two evils

I personally didn't like vista, XP/sp2 does it for me, I have 2 toshibas downgraded from vista to xp and xp on the desktop for the kids.
What about those of you with 4GB's of RAM?
Has anyone tried XP 64?
Personally I hate how Vista caches all your ram and runs like a dog in molasses. ie: just opening windows
I've tried Windows 7, it is much snappier, but again there's still traces of Vista in it.
XP on 4 desktops, 2 lappys and Vista on other lappy all here at home. Prefer XP as I know it and its problems.
xp
xp 64 is good if you can find all the drivers ect
4gb ram?
so how much of 4gb do you actually use with xp?

Vista on my main tower and on juniors Pc (it came with it)
Xp on the netbook (Less resourses)
Most IT Tech's I have had a chat to are waiting on windows 7
Vista uses heaps more resourses but if you have a decent machine it goes pretty good.
Vista on all machines in the house, tablet pc on xp..
I have no drama's with any!
