The run down:
Someone wanted someone to buy there encryption system.
Someone else wanted someone to buy there's instead.
Someone died.
Someone got rich.
Someone got stiffed.
And in the end your watching bloodmoney
Interesting to consider that NDS operatives contemplated releasing a hack of their own encryption to justify the need to maintain their security budget. A murky world indeed! Happily, my picture's crystal clear.
You can read it directly from the link below without signing up. Xray
Where is the rest of the article - am I missing something? I can't see the next page...
interesting reads well and could be the next blockbuster movie
A certain media mogul just keeps popping into my mind.
Is that still going on, its been years now
RIP Tron
It's a good story .......
I managed a ND$ integration in Taiwan in 2002/3. Coming home to Hong Kong one Friday night I had my briefcase stolen on the airport express train - my notebook computer was full of ND$ documents. They were not at all happy about it and I now understand why...........
Markus Kuhn. That name takes me back a few years.... What a fantastic article.
Quote from article ...
Boris F was mentored by Markus Kuhn ...When queried about correspondence from NDS found in Boris's possession, an NDS spokesman initially said NDS had offered him a job as a consultant, which he declined. Adams later told a journalist that NDS had offered Boris a university scholarship in Israel ...
Boris refused to work for NDS and was found hanging in a park - later investigations stated it was suicide - but facts did not match this conclusion ...
Markus Kukn is alive and well -
He is currently doing research (received an university scholarship) in Cambridge University ...
If this story has credibility (the research on the background and events seems to be very accurate - pity though because there was much more public information floating around on the 'scene' at the time - most of it vanished at around the same time as these events unravelled) .. and if it does ...
... I guess we can draw our own conclusions as to how Markus got his posting ??
I don't think Markus pays for Main Event...
