Wack a copyright on the bottom of the web page. Then if you can frame up a good looking legal letter asking them to cease and desist using your copyrighted material, that may work.
You can also watermark your images so they have your website written across them faintly enough to not bother anyone but to be noticed, although that is a bit late for the photos they have already downloaded from your site. I know a lot of gadget and car blogs do this when they get exclusive pics, that way if they are shown anywhere else, the viewer knows where they originated from.

yeah I'd say quickest/easiest way is to watermark them.

if you want to hinder people from downloading them, maybe embed them in something like flash...(stops the right click, copy image)

note: this will not stop anyone, as screen grabbers DONT care, but I think it would stop some people from right clicking and selecting copy

edit: just tested my theory on flash and screen grabbers.... hmmm it did not work. I could not grab it. so maybe that would help

edit: sorry i'm wrong i grabbed this flash image.... perviously i tried to game an image from a flash games website....NFI why that did not work and this did. this looks hideous though... in effect stopping people pinching your images...but i am sure there will be some flash grabbers out there

Better tell your mate to get a real host, geocities is closing soon.

As for the pics, if the website in question is hotlinking then it's a fairly easy thing to fix, if the pictures have been stolen then a legal C & D may scare them off.

Watermark is your best option as some people wont give a shit about legal threats to stop using them.

    +1 for watermark.

You seem to have already disabled right clicking on images, adding a watermark will further deter some people.

But at the end of the day these things only stop your everyday person from saving your images as any person with half a brain and a keyboard can grab them.

just quick and dirty, just dropped the transperency down this is 25%

hate to say it, but unless you do it diagonally then someone will just come along and crop it, removing the watermark. you need to find a balance between, preventing people saving it and using it, and not interfering with the pic, obviously you want people to see the IMAGE and not the watermark

did not read it all but just an idea on placement
oops thats sofware I only read the bit about placement, anyway a few ideas in there

    diagonal 15% transparency

edit: might have to get one of these dogs, for next time my car runs out of petrol!! w0w...strong
