I was never a fan of Jim Carreys earlier stuff(pet detective/dumb and dumber). which in turn made me dislike him.

I'll give him this, I think if you like his style (as I do now) then over the years he has made some quality comedy's.

Look the film is worth a watch as you know what you are going to get.

Personally I think he gets the comedy/semi serious acting combination down pat these days. I actually think he is truely gifted and one of the best at what he does.

I think he is starting to look old and I found especially in this one that is was noticeable, so perhaps thats why he is doing a more grown up form of funny/witty and not "dumb and dumber" cr4p.

If your a fan, I think you'll enjoy this one. I think this may be his best to date
(certainly the best of what i have seen him in)

Saw it last night. Not bad but very predictable love story. Some really funny stuff but I can do without the Carrey face screwing and weird noises which are thankfully fairly far apart in this movie. He is a good actor and I really liked him in The Majestic where he was totally serious.
Definitely worth a look.
