    Fark Me!

A warning is something you get BEFORE you buy!
As for a clone... Clone means to copy, copies are the same.... These are not clones, they are cheap attempts at making a DM7020.

^^^^^ Clearly states "Support for internal HDD in any capacity"

Thank you for the warning and the links though..... Cos most people i know have Drives already bought and waiting... and no, they are not expensive laptop drives either.

All this talk about these are the best on the market, trouble free etc etc.... pfft. I'm still yet to see what the DM7020 does better than the DM7000 if this is the case!

Is there any other limitations we need to know about before we toast these things? Can they be used with a Motek?

Since you didn't buy anything what are you posting for?

The capacitor mod is for the DM7000 and works for the 7020 GENUINE models.
The links i posted are mods to the GENUINE models.
When the Dreams were designed they didn't have 750 gig drives you fool.
    Most people need do nothing.
The mod is mentioned as a precaution.

So you are shooting off your mouth because you're on an anti-clone mission aren't you?

Quite clearly you know zero about...anything.

oceanboy , as it appears you havent actually ordered one of these from z80 I will ask that you please stay out of arguments/debates etc or perhaps start a thread in the Dreambox section in regards to it.

If someone that has actually purchased one via z80 and has a problem with it , they are quite entitled to question it.

    Thanks

I have just ordered a pile of spare parts for these units.
Power supplies, remote controls, alps tuners etc.

Will make sure that they are well supported.

    Default Reliability

All you guys who are buying these please note that the LNB circuit is far more reliable than the 500s.

But....if you earth your LNb you will have far less chance of stuffing your box.

I have had the pleasure of repairing my GENUINE 7020 because I failed to do that and it wasn't an easy job.

So do yourselves a favour and earth the LNB cable to the earth in the power point.

If you don't and it blows due to stray voltages there is a tell tale component that blows.

It is not a clone thing it is ALL dreamboxes.

Don't let yours be the 1 in a 100 that blows and needs constant reflashing etc. due to stray earth loops or whatever.

If nothing else it will stop you from getting an electric shock when plugging the LNB cable in.

I now have zero units left for sale.

Thanks to all who bought publicly and privately.

I sent another 25 units today and they should get to you on friday.

I have pm'ed evryone without exception their reg post tracking number.

moof-I have no address for delivery for you, and it's sitting here waiting to go.

avtech- you just scraped it in.

Most of you have a VoIP number for me for basic help in setting up.

All units were tested and found to work perfect.
    Remote controls not tested.

will re-open thread if necessary to complete sales etc but for now...

    ALL SOLD OUT

    Please remember post #1...
