    Default Backdoor.bot removal

    Hi all

    It looks as though I picked up backdoor.bot and having trouble getting rid of this little *@%$#%!!

    malwarebytes appears to be picking it up and removing it, but when I rescan with malwarebytes it picks it up again.

    avg didn't get rid of it last night and both data bases are up to date

    here's a printout of what m/bytes

    Registry Values Infected:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\taskman (Backdoor.Bot) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

    Registry Data Items Infected:
    (No malicious items detected)

    Folders Infected:
    (No malicious items detected)

    Files Infected:
    (No malicious items detected)


    I've run malwarebytes several imes this arvo and it can't get rid, any help is greatly appreciated

    I'll google and see if I can find a ways as well to rid this from my pc

    Try running Hijack this and check the log it produces. It may show it is hiding somewhere else as well.

    Do the malwarebytes scan but turn off your system restore in the control panel

    Might help
    When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

    Hi guys

    thanks for the heads Sanity & best for less
    I searched through some other threads and came across trojan remover v6.7.8 its a 30day, it appears to have found removed the buggar

    to make doubly sure I ran malwarebytes again after trojan remover did its bit and this time we're all clean.
