IGO GPS Map

Hi Guy's
You got a real greenhorn here, I thought I did the smat thing and imported a GPS Unit from China, they promised me everything woulod be fine and they supply me with a POLNAV Map of Australia. I paid an additional US$ 60.00 for the map, and when Im got ther unit which is very nice with all its features,
It was a b...y Demonstration Map which can pick the GPS SIgnal. So I contaceted them by phone they hung up on me three times.

So I got a Unit which is not a common brand name and no Map I have found out that I couold use a IGO Map, but as I said this is my first Gps and know nothing about it.

Any suggestionhow I can get a mapetc.

You can download PolNav v5 with Australian maps from here
(155meg)
then relpace "polnav_rm_demo.exe" with the above Polnav.exe and you have a full version

Only trouble with the Australian Map , its a bit out of date.
Doesn't even show the Tugun bypass on the Gold Coast Qld

you know why? cause they are, seems polnav is cheating many, i downloaded the supposedly 2009, only to find out that streets that are over 6 months old are NOT on their maps, we're getting duped ppl.

try igo8(ver 8.3) , i have it and it's is just as good as garmin which is now the second best, forget igo amigo, it's crap, route 66 is the pits, destinator 8 froze and corrupted my gps, mobile navigator is not good either, trust me, use igo 8, it is fast and has heaps of settings on main screen, check it out.

Guys after messing around trying to install destinator 8 on my LG LN500 i found the port needed is 2 and the baud rate is 9600
changing them in the gpstmc.ini did the trick

there is a few programs that will run on the LG LN500
I have Destinator 8, Polnav 5, Igo 8, Igo amigo, Ozi Explorer
I only use this as my test GPS
have not tryed tom tom on it yet but have it running on my Moov 360

Does any1 have the latest map for destinator 8?
BTW viper000, where do you put the poi in route 66? i've tried to put it everywhere but i can't find it on the program!
