thats a sticky situation you have, when i sold mine i wrote on it with a UV pen so if there was any issue i could tell straight away if it was the same card
Hey every one,
I had a couple of spare gamma 1.04 cards laying around, so I decided to sell them off on ebay, got $199.99 each.
Any way, the purchaser has just sent me this email: (I have removed his personal details)
David The two cards U sent me are not gamma cards These are Wafer cards (Pic16584(a)
Mate put they in any card reader Waffer card. The are $5.00 Retail David. Also its very easy to tell the differance between the cards . If U hold the card U to the light and look through from the none contact side you can see quite clearly that its a waffer card. I am sure it just a mistake on your part and not deliberate? Please email me ***** or call to discuss this *****
Has any one else had this one tried on them, I know for a fact the cards where Gamma's, as they where purchased from a trusted source.
Thanks,
Dave

havent had this but had a buyer from greece claim he didnt receive them and put in a paypal dispute with me, so anyone out there make sure there sent registered ect to os customers
Thats a tricky one for sure....whats his feedback like ? His username isnt similar to any Austech members is it ? Check " Members List " on the toolbar on the odd chance.
Not much consolation I know but with cards I would have put an identifying mark on them as there are always arseholes out there determined to rip you off.
Chances are if you say ok , I'll refund you , he will send you 2 white gold cards and pocket your gammas.
You say a trusted source , have you actually read them in a card reader and confirmed it ? Unlikely I know but just wondering.
I cant really offer any ideas on this one sorry
This is a tricky one.
I say 'seller' beware.
Great suggestion to mark the cards.
He has no feedback, except for what I left him, which unfortunaly I did, as soon as he paid me, before this shit. I on the other hand have 100% positive feedback, from over 20 people.
I checked both cards before sending them, they both showed as Gamma 1.04 OS, I didn't want to send him one of the many dead blank AT90SC7272C I have laying around by accident.
I just sent him this email:
The cards I sent you are ATMEL AT90SC7272C with 1.04 OS loaded on them, which are what Gamma cards are.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please feel free to send them back to me, and once I have verified that you have sent back the two cards that I supplied you with, I will refund your money in full.
Thanks for the replies fellas.
I have 1 to sell just havent got around to it. Might have to use the invis pen.
So what are we looking for when we hold it up to the light? I have 1 that has never been in a card reader so it still looks brand new but should I see something when it is held to the light?
I get the feeling his trying to scam me, just the way he comes accross in his emails. Just received this one from him:
Call me they are just white wafers mate . Please call me neither of us want a hassle I want what U are at90 two Please call me But these are white wafer cards with the OS 1.04 on them
Lets sort this out I still want at90 cards
I sent an email back, again stating when I receive the cards back and verify they are the ones I sent him, I will refund his money.
PFFFT hold there gamma up to the light LOL
what was he looking for the gamma code
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
So holding it to the like is crap then?
Noobies shesh.
Ok thought so all I see is the contacts on the other side too
He's a scammer. Here's the latest email:
U are a con man I paid U in good faith and U sent. Two wafer cards what a con U are running.
U put the money back in my bank acc today or I will go to the police tomorrow and lay a charge of fraud. I bet your fingerprints are on the card mate I have only touched one of them. Do U really want to try this con.
The con did not work mate. Pay up now
If U don’t pay up now I will follow through mate. I have the recourses and the man power . Do U need this hassle
And my reply:
Robert,
Please feel free to take what ever action you feel is necessary, and please feel free to contact the police, I have supplied you with all my personal details, so it should be very simple for them to contact me. Also, please feel free to notify EBay of your dispute, I will be more then happy to supply them with all the correspondence between you and me.
I have 100% positive feedback on EBay, you have none, I have done every thing correctly and professionally.
I will not reply to any more of your emails from this point forward, either send the cards back for a refund, or pass the information on to the police, your choice.
What a ****ing knob
I sent the cards to a PO box in NSW.
Bloody hell!
Name the prick.
Also find out who uses the post box.
Im sure someone will fix him up.
Oh and "fingerprints" LOL. Ha
