    Default Ie8

    Hi,
Reloaded my system using a ghost image last night. (XP Pro)

Then went and updated it. Installed IE8. I liked it, but when I logged on to Austech, it kept telling me that I wasn't logged in. Every time I clicked on a forum it just said log in.

So, whats the go?...its gotta be a setting within IE right?

    Cheers

    IE8 is crap!

I had the same problem, plus a lot more.

It's incredibly slow.... numerous forums are reporting issues with it.

I uninstalled it and went back to IE7... all fine again.

Got IE8 on here and it seems to be working fine on the forum. Have you tried the "compatibility" button?

As MTV said though, it is terribly slow.

It is pretty bad. The amount of sites you have to use compatability mode on is ridiculous. This is the worst version of IE I have seen yet.

i don't know why people persist in using it, there are several better options available.

MS has once again released a buggy pos to the public to beta test.

give Firefox a try, using it for the last 2 years no issues, even better there are lots of add-ons and plugin's that make internet serfing fun and productive.

IE8 had lots of bug fixes and futures and it's yet another product from $MS that is working effectively in raising our stress level.
    cheers.

most sites I visit no longer need compability mode.
I think its better than ie7, but have to agree it is a fair bit slower

Typical Micro$haft crap. Why people bother with these buggy add-ons I don't know.

Firefox works. What more do you need?

Internet Exploiter should only ever be used as a Firefox downloading program.
