A WOMAN in Germany who became pregnant after an online sex auction has won a court battle to force the website that hosted the sale to reveal the names of the winners, so she can find out who the father is.
Six different men won internet auctions to have sex with the woman in April and May last year.
They were only known to her by their online names, a spokesman for a court in the southwestern city of Stuttgart said.
"The woman wanted to discover which one of the men had made her pregnant," the spokesman said.
"So she needed their contact details. Of course, if they're not willing to go along with the gene test, she'll have to take them to court."

The woman asked the site's operator to reveal the true identity of the men, but it refused, citing a confidentiality clause in its terms and conditions.
The court ruled in her favour, saying the child's right to know who its father was took precedence.

"Now the question is whether the men will voluntarily take tests to find out who is really the father," a court spokesman said. "If they don't, the woman will have to go to court again." When the woman found out she was pregnant, the website gesext.de initially turned down her requests for the names of the men. It said it had to respect a confidentiality clause in the terms and conditions of the site.
Herbert Krauleidis, of Domosoft.de, which owns the online auction business, said he was disappointed with the outcome. "For us it is a real shame to remove anonymity," he said. "Our website is all about offering one-night stands to open-minded adults. That should be anonymous if people want."
The Stuttgart-based firm coyly describes the venture as a "lifestyle marketplace". In reality, gesext.de is a far cry from eBay. Auctions such as "Carmen - as hot as fire" topped the bargains among its sex dates yesterday. It has more than 60,000 registered users and 2m site visits since the start of the year.
It is not the first time that the issue of pregnancy has cropped up on their site. "We've had a woman trying to get pregnant . Then there was a man advertising himself as a pregnancy partner," Krauleidis said. "He promised information on his health and IQ and a guarantee he would not be involved with the child."
A company spokeswoman said the woman, who was not identified, had now received details about the men who could be the father. "Among the men affected, it turns out that one or two are actually happy about the news they may become a dad," she said. "I don't know how the woman will feel about that though."
