what version of windows are you using
This message among other things was the reason for a clean install (without any hiccup) done yesterday. (Also still chasing the elusive audio problem)
No problem at IE6 stage but when updated to IE7 the problem returns.
Required plugins like Flash and Quicktime etc are installed.
Nothing but Windows is installed on machine ATM.
Can't find recent reference to this problem at MS help & support.
Any thoughts?

XP home with SP2 ... IE7 loads ok but dies on first click of any link
Thats why I use firefox
IE7 seems so slow
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
i get the same problem occasionally, but im running Vista. Try removing and reinstalling ie7.
Firefox is also having some issues with flash and quicktime, I had to update both so it would not crash on me.
As mysteriously as the problem occurred it seems to have fixed itself.
My money is now on Windows Update as the culprit.
