I have to back up each program like, outlook express etc....

I have found in FireFox that they have a plugin/addon that shows your passwords the ones that are just dots

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

Here are two programs to help you find some details about your Computer (Hardware, software, Product Keys etc)

    System Information for Windows

    & the Belarc Advisor

Check them out, & Print or save the results, (what you need) for future reference.

    Other things

Do some screen shots of important Information & settings, (like your desktop layout, Computer Name, List of programs installed, & maybe Outlook settings etc...)

If you can, do a backup of all the drivers installed on your computer,

Also Backup your Personal Folder (containing: contacts, desktop, documents, downloads, favorites, links, Music, Pictures, Saved games, Searches, & Videos)

Also Backup your email program (Contacts, Emails, & Account settings, etc..) if you need to,

Also before you format, make sure that you have everything you need to reinstall all your Software Programs (Application exe & product key), & all the drivers & utilities for your Hardware (such as, Chipset drivers, Video drivers, Lan drivers, Audio drivers etc...)(re-install the original drivers from the disc)

It is also a good idea to do a ghost image of your drive, so you can put it back the way it was, in case you want to at a latter date.
