    Anyone know of a prog that will scrub a hard drive real good before selling?

    DBAN - (be sure to get the preview release for your architecture - just as stable, but faster with newer processors) - handy if you have multiple disks. easy, free, and don't worry about wiping 50 times. just select one method and do one wipe. fill with zeros and very last past (default) is good enough imo.

    however, since youre selling, a sector check from the manufacturer's tools wouldn't go astray. the diagnostic will usually have a 'zero-fill' utility too, so that might be simpler.

    just grab a low level format tool and run over with that a few times (3-4)
    dont say linux if i wanted it id install it

    After you have scrubbed it, check it with "getdataback" and see how good it's worked
