Default Telstra Broadband Exchange update schedule

Has anybody seen or heard of any timetable regarding when/where and what exchanges are to be either updated or have Broadband capabilities installed after that Telstra news release of a couple of weeks ago?
Obviously my local exchange hasnt got Broadband but I dont want to jump to another services such as satelitte or wireless if there is a chanch my exchange is on the list to be done in the coming months.

Here is the link for Telstra Wholesale reports

HOWEVER, Telstra is not responsible for these reports being correct (I know the Minimux one is wrong as it says areas are upgraded when they arent), and the timetables are not always kept to, so IMHO they are pretty well useless. Kinda like Telstra.

Also note some of these are big so if you are on dial up (and thats the kicker) go make a cup of coffee and dinner whilst waiting for them to download.

    nerd1, no broadband AT ALL.....
I am looking to go either Sat or wireless if there is no plan in the foreseeable future for Telstra to equip this exchange with broadband.
Obviously landline is cheaper and with bigger downloads than either sat or wireless

gordon, not sure if you are rural, but if you are have a chat to the "Countrywide" areas. Under the last government they were always looking at gauging demand for ADSL on exchanges so maybe if you made it clear you were looking they might get around to it.

Thats the problem with the way its done, they dont count you until you apply, but if the equipment isn't in the exchange most ISPs wont let you apply.

As for the Announcement, well in your case it wont make a lick of difference. Telstra had already set up a lot of exchanges for ADSL2, but hadn't turned it on for various reasons, so the announcement was really just media spin.

Thanks for the follow on posting Rogue and you have confirmed what I suspected with that news release.
As usual it was couched in phrases that are very flowery in content but actualy have no more substance than a summer breeze once you strip away the smiles and backslapping.
I have registered with Telstra online as an 'interested' BB customer about every 6 months since BB moved out of the metrop areas.
I am sure we are now on optical fibre to the exchange as I watched that nice blue cable being laid through out the area a few years ago.
As for being 'Rural', I am off the main highway in a village so likely they consider I am.
