battery notification not working since new battery installed on laptop

Gday all,

I’ve got an Asus laptop with Vista Home Pemium installed and when the battery power got down, the battery icon in next to the clock would say 20% remaining. When it got down to 10%, it would say 10% etc etc.

The battery ended up dying and I bought a new battery. The issue I have is that the notification doesn’t come up any longer stating that there’s 20% or 10% remaining.

Can anybody help me out in getting this notification back?

Right click where it was and select Properties. Click on the Notification Area icon and select it.

the little icon of the battery is in the taskbar and if you hold the cursor over it, it tells you how much battery is remaining.

what it used to do is a balloon icon used to appear saying you have 10% remaining.

Thats what doesn't happen any more.
