    Question Burning Copyrighted Vhs tapes to DVD ??

    Just wondering if there is away to do this please as I wish to preserve a few old VHS tapes.

    why bother ? most movies been released on DVD ...

    but if ya have too .. can get device goes in between ya VHS recorder to dvd recorder so can record video .. forget wot ti called ... try google ..sorry !

    @ Woodstock - Video stabilizer, you can buy em from Jaycar.

    I really must echo Woodstock, why bother, most everything is available on DVD now.

    Some digital camcorders also have a pass-through mode that'll get rid of Macrovision, as a side-benefit.

On a cautionary note, if they have significant HF boost, they will make a noisy video worse.

    Depends on how much processing/editing you want to do, I just connect the VCR to the DVD recorder, with the Video stabilizer in between, all that PC work is too much trouble.

    A lot have, yes.. but I have some here which have not been released on DVD. They are the ones that are worth copying across.
    It's a bit like the old vinyl records - most music and albums have made it to CD these days, but there are some artists and albums that have never been released on CD.
