The 9.026 is posted in the forum and you can overwrite you files ,but it is better make a backup and install on an empty device.
Make a backup and try the overwrite first ,if no luck try a clean install.

    Default NC 8.413.1237 clean copy

I'm trying to bring a friends TT ONE XL (4S00.006) up to date.
    Currently it is configured
    NC 8.010 9369/080529 OS:190943
    GPS 1V21 Boot 5.3026
    Australia V675.1431
    Bootloader 10012

After a bit of research it seems that NC 8.413.1237 should do the trick along with BL 5.5128.

So far I've updated the bootloader (5.5128) but getting the NC and maps to work is an ongoing work. As TTS is the only function she expects I'd like to keep it simple ie no SE_navcores etc.

Can anyone tell me where is a clean 8.413.1237 available?

Or am I on the wrong track?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

TTS won't work on a XL with 32mb - at least not without massive modifications and some tricks.
Without a SE version (or Extra Navcore) nothing else except the original Navcore for the device will work.

Thanks D/U for pointing out that TTS never worked on this ONE XL - looks like I must tune out too much when I'm in this car.

    Now the device is configured
    ONE XL [4S00.006]
    App 9.026.483545.2 OS 473972
    (1010, 15/12/2009)
    32MB RAM (free 1.1MB)
    GPS v1.20 Boot 5.5128
    Map 'Australia' v845.2662
    Language English UK

I simply deleted the Loquendo directory and all the weird voices in the voices folder then reloaded the standard voices straight from the TT site.

Now the unit boots and shows position (hey hey) talks (not TTS) and has a bunch of un-needed options in the menu's.

    But,

It boots really slowly and I have cleared the flash and reset buttons etc.
When navigate to a favourite it works ok.
When I attempt to navigate to an address it changes to the [City Center] screen but freezes for about 30 secs when I press street and house number then resets on its own. It freezes and resets on other icons on this page also.

Somehow I feel this info could be buried in the pages here - believe me I have read and been side-tracked heaps.

Long ago I saw a table of h/w navcores and maps that are compatible but I can't find it and its well out of date by now.

Perhaps this navcore is too advanced for the H/W?
What is the best navcore and map for this unit with:-

    1. current map
    2. reliability and
    3. Ease of use

    being the primary requirements?

I'd still like to get a 8.413.1237 without any extras to try... but I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks again,
    Rob

Please check if you have folder "config" on your device.
If so open the file "setconfig.txt" and look for an entry "ttsoff".
It it is there delete it and add "ttson".

    Dear Sirs,
I am very new in this forum. I have read your listing regarding tomtom upgrade and installation. I need your help. I do not know about navcore, maps, keygen etc.etc these words are very new for me. Just like a child. I have Tomtom XL without any sd card slot and accidently I formatted the hard disk without any back up. I need it should work again and I know if you can help me step by step I can be successfull. Please help me from scratch and if you provide me some additional links to study, it would be great for basic understanding about the software. Please provide the step by step how to get the TOMTOM back again. Looking forward to hear from you,
    Best regards,
    Sunny

    hi,

i have a TomTOm ONE. I just put SE_Navcore.8.412.1236 with the AUS2661 Australia Maps vers 845.2661, and also copied the files below into my Map folder.

    Safety_Cam_AU_TomTom.ov2
    Safety_Cam_AU_TomTomOv2.ver

from downunders post on another page..

EVERYTHING WORKS....BUT i can no longer access the speed camera preference or anything, that i could before. I can no longer "add speed camera" location or anything....why is that? Does this newnavcore, with the new maps, and speed camera .ov2 still allow the TomTom to recognise speed camera locations?

    Thanks..
