You may have a faulty tamper switch.

If you have been fiddling around in the box you may have pulled out the tamper plug from the connection on the PCB board.

if it is a NX series it will it will have a jumper on the board if it is an old one eg DL 250 it has a some screw terminals it should be in the install manual.

Never touched a DAS specific alarm at all, just challengers here. But anyway...

You're not able to put a multimeter on that tamper switch at all are you???

That'll more than likely give you your answer to the problem. Just see if the button is changing states, ie, going between open/closed.

Panel lids not pushing the button in enough can be another issue too.

i had a similar problem weeks ago and it turned out the keypad tamper, open the cover and bend the plastic thing to the tamper switch.

if the unit is still installed, check the tamper in the siren box, they seem to go dodgy after a few years being exposed to the elements
