I wont be much help but have you tried a different pci slot or tried updating the drivers for the board ?
I have a very old computer that I am tring to setup for the kids.
Mother Board: PC Partner AP133AS3-C908
Intel Celeron Processor 467 Mhz
128MB or Ram
USB (Not USB.2)
O/S Windows XP Service Pack 2
The computer on it's own works fine but i want to set up the internet on it for them. It needs to be wireless no access for cables.
I am tring to connect a D-Link DWL-G150 Wireless PCI Adaptor (I know it's a old card but I only opened the box 3 days ago), with no luck.
The system just keeps restarting when I install the card. I did manage to get it to install for a bit and I even got it to comunicate with my Router (Dynalink RTA1025W) but it would not connect to the internet, When I turned it on the next day again it started restarting my system.
I downloaded new drivers off the net but that didn't help
I have rang D-Link for some assistance but they were no help.
I know it's an old system but I would love to get the internet working on it for them.
Thanks in advance

I'll bet its the driver. I cant remember how to do it, but if you can log windows startup to a file, it should show the last driver loaded before it reboots. The one or two times this has happened to me, i just started again and formatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows and all was well.
I think it will be a miss-match/corruption between some files that the wireless needs, that may have already been installed via windows or some other program; or a dependency file is missing.
You could try and see if it can boot into safe mode with no networking, then run scan disk. You may even get away with a windows re-install/repair over the top of the system.
untick the reboot on error in windows
this may then give you clue re conflict
try disabling the sound network ect
how are the hardware devices in system settings all there and working?
How did you go ? Have you tried removing other cards and leaving the wireless? You could also try assinging irqs to the PCI slots in bios.
