Relook 400 and Aurora

G'day all,
New to the Relook thanks to the bulk buy

Can someone tell me what emu/softcam they are using for Aurora on this box.
I thought I read that the internal slots could not handle irdeto cards. Is this correct?

I am trying to get my goldy to work.

Does the card go in slot with contacts down (like Dreambox) or contacts up (like Humax)?

I am trying to share card details between Db7025 and Relook while keeping card updated as well.
I thought newcs and mgcamd would work, but I could not get it to even work with the card local on the DB7025.

Any tips?
Is it best to share from DB to Relook or other way?

Plan will be to eventually share a NDS card as well.

Relook is great unit to run as a client, never tried using the card slot but think they are inactive. Newcs & ccCam work.

CCcam should work. I did have a Cubecafe 250 once. I know it worked with NDS cards. Can't remember if I tried an Aurora though.

Contacts down, like a Dreambox.

The DM7025 will work with I2 Aurora cards. Haven't had any joy with goldies.

Internal card readers, both upper and lower, work well with appropriate soft cams.

Relook 400S will also work as a server if soft cams are configured appropriately.

Thanks: But do you know if the slots work with a gold card?
I tried a basic config of Cccam and also Mgcamd in the Relook, but could not get pics.
I know that the gold card is OK, because it works in the Humax.
As I am hearing the DB7025 won't handle the gold card, my option is then down to having the Relook have the gold card and serve it to the DB7025.
Is there any special settings needed in the Cccam config to get the card slot working?

It looks like newcs can see the card but that is all.

On a side note: When I select newcs + mgcamd from the blue button, newcs does not seem to start. mgcamgd starts ok, but I need to start newcs manually.

Goldie worked fine for me straight out of the box with the original image it came with. I think its got CCcam 1.7.1 installed on it but not sure as not at home atm, had to use a cam though as would not work in card slot on its own.

I tried a working set of autorol and softcam keys but couldnt get them to work

i really want to get the keys going.

fellas, why not try newcamd with your card details in a ppua file? It works a treat on a DM500!

CCcam versions above 1.7.1 only work with enigma images (which don't support both tuners). CCcam 1.7.1 won't update NDS cards, so it usually best to serve from a DM and use the 400S asa client.

agree LP re ppua on the 500s, do you/anyone know if it works similarily in 400s (just bought one via bulk buy) and too lazy 2 try 4 self...

Nah!!! I was unable to get inbuilt card slots to work with gold card. I have no irdeto cam to try with.
I currently have reverted to having gold card running in Humax and irdeto file running with scam3.29a in DB7025. Will not auto update when keys roll. But still no Aurora on the Relook.
I have not had time to get back and play again with the AutoRoll.key but it was not working last time I tried.
I did read somewhere that the PMK needed to be arse about, so I will try that when I get time.
(Ahhhh.........time. I remember when I had some of that.)

spence, not sure if this helps anyone but without any changes to image sent with group purchase, I have bluey woking in top slot, goldie working in bottom one. No image changes or anything.

Bluey probably wont update with ccam 1.7.1 but it is in provider box most of the time. Be interesting to see if goldie does.

I'm actually quite liking this box so far.

Bugger spoke to soon, I'm not hav'n such a good night tonight, goldie has just gone off "service not available or scrambled" BSOD. Must not be updating.

Will put back in Humax and see if it works, then re-insert to 400s.

Once you've got the softcam installed properly on your Relook 400S image, configuring them should be the same as for DM500S.

The steps for newcamd configuration for Irdeto 1 Aurora are .

back on relook and instant pics on all optus aurora channels, funny there is no 7 central, must be a scanning prob?

interesting to see how long it lasts this time, bloody windy night in Perth as the shed is moving as I type.

PS I did make sure it was not a sig prob by the way and ftel worked fine...

Thanks (as ever) gw1, as you can see I posted in that link - had some success with 500s. I was just happy that goldie worked in 400s slot without softcam ( I have never had this happen in 500s).

Will go the newcamd ppua option tomorrow. Can you confirm that goldie will not update in 400s slot? WIN is still showing eagles game with Hawks 3 points up with eagles having gale force wind behind them, final quarter.

Yeah Jamesv,
That is same as my experience. If I take the card out of Humax, it works ok until the next PK( is that the right term?). Usually only a matter of minutes until pics stop.
