    Default Phantom Email

    Hi
This just started happening a few days ago.
Tray icon pops up to signal new email received.
Go to Outlook Express - no new mail.
    XP SP3
    Any thoughts
    Thanks

    Tools, Accounts, properties, advanced.
Leave a copy of messages on server?
Maybe outlook is seeing those messages if it is ticked.

Log onto your email account using the web portal and see if there are any there.

I think this message is triggered on a udp port.
    Maybe a bigpond issue.

    Red face

    Hi
Problem solved and I can't believe how dumb I am .
I had received but unread emails in a couple of folders.
Once I read them the problem went away.
It seems that since I got my seniors card my brain has stopped working and my keyboard has developed a spelling problem.
