I assume your Go730 is Windows CE based. If it is you can use a older version of Ozi Explorer. I run it on my cheap Chinese GPS with CE 4.2 on it.
After hours of searching I'm about to give up.
I tried to find a software like Ozi Explorer for the use on my Go730.
Found things like Tripmaster and other Tracking software ,but nothing that can be used for "real offroad" use.
Because of the good documention and the available maps I would like to use OZI but so far nothing in sight for Tomtom...
Maybe I'm just blind (again) ,but if anyone knows a good working software for scanned paper maps or OZI map ,please let me know.
I do a lot of 4WD and the new 830 Maps are still useless in the "bush country".
By the way : most of the small tracks a covered by the Maps software on my N95 - so shame on Tomtom for the map-coverage

Hmm ,my GO is running Linux not Windows ,that is why I was asking.
I don't really want to buy another PDA or Laptop to use in the bush.
Maps are more or less simple to convert to be used in OZICe , scan ,stitch calibrate. The tools needed can be downloaded on the OZI homepage.
Getting your Maps off Google is a real pan because most programs used to this job are already banned by Google. And most of the bush tracks are not even visible in Google (exept for the bigger ones).
I really thought there must be something similar to be used on a Tomtom!?
If it is Linux there might be some open source stuff. Not familiar with the unit myself so I cannot be a lot of help. I agree with how easy Ozi is to use with the maps.

i am afraid you are out of luck with your tomtom they are strictly road base navigators the only other unit that will accept topo base maps is the garmin i use my tomtom 920 for street navigation and i picked up a cheap garmin c530 which i put oztopo v2.1 on it it is perfect for off road work i haven't been on a track that is not shown on it
IF IT DONT WORK USE A BIGGER HAMMER
