Default n00b Question, Dreambox's and Foxtel Sat

Ok, Im bracing myself for the absolute verbal beating that I expect to receive for asking this...

Anyway...Is it still possible to receive free foxtel with a dreambox and a cloned/cracked card?

If so, what dreambox would I need to buy, what kind of card would I need (like Silver, Gold etc), what reader write would I need, and where would I find the hex boot loader and hex dump

    Cheers

Before asking such a question i would reconmend reading a few posts, if you did you would find the answer very quicky, and the answer would be very simple.

In short, no you cant get hacked cards for foxstar anymore. What may be a viable solution is to do 'card sharing' with a few mates. Plenty of info on this topic around here. A dreambox is all you need really, unless you want to run more than 7/8 clients - and a valid sub card of course.

Well that wasn't as bad as I expected , so in short, me and my mates can sign up for foxtel, one of us can be a server, and the others can be clients , didn't think of that.

What model dream box would we have to purchase, and would it require the card to be in the front of the dram box, plugged into the DB, or running on a pc?

    Thanks for the help

    Hmm, public forum...

I would be running the card in a seperate reader which plugs into the back of the unit, for the server, and then set up the other receivers to use yours as the server.

A DM500 will do, but you can use an array of other receivers.

Haven't I already had a talk to you about this elsewhere?

And the reason for the separate reader which plugs in the back?
