So you managed to get the TTS working on the TT ONE XL using the above config settings?

How good is it at reading the street names? I haven't tried TTS on my one XL for a while but last time I did this it wasn't very accurate at pronouncing the street names very well. Sometimes completely different to how they should be pronounced.

Here is a link to all the available english Loquendo TTS Files used in this thread to get TTS working on entry level tomtoms. Pitty there is no Australian voice. Only female and male US and UK english voices are available.

    For individual voices

Download & unzip the voice you want to use into a folder. Now copy the folder contents and paste them into the LoquendoTTS folder in the root directory of your device. On your device, Change preferences, Voice preferences, Change voice.

For those interested the Tomtom one 3rd edition specs out

    266 mhz cpu
    32mb ram
    512mb internal storage.
    No SD card slot.

same cpu and ram as all the original entry level one and one xl models so you should be able to get TTS working on any model tomtom using the latest navcore and the right configuration files settings.

Installed UK TTS-voices on my TomTom XL 30 (no SD card, just internal memory). Works fine. Haven't tried it on the road yet, but it installed without a glitch and the new voices are now testing OK.

Thanks to everyone in this topic.

When TTS is working, my ONE 3rd is really slow.
It slowed down my GPS system, can't point on time.
Just a trial or game in an ONE 3rd only.

Hi all please be kind this is my first post; I read the thread about TTS and was wondering what the consensus is on the speed at which the On 3rd ed runs using TTS. I am assuming it's still worth upgrading so that I can get IQ routes, but will it slow down my One if I just upgrade and don't enable TTS?
