    Default dvb-c card that works with australia cable

    Hey guys,

    I have an older card but it will not detect my cable over a number of different programs...

    There are alot of cards available but it is hard to know what will and wont work...

    Requirements:
    * Needs to work with australian cable providers
    * Must work in windows

    I use Technotrend TT 1501 dvb-c card that I've sourced from Germany. Works well with foxtel cable. Any standard dvb-c card should work though, but these has the option of a CAM in case you'd want to use a T-Rex / dragon CAM for decryption.

    I doubt it works at all with the foxtel/optus cable service.

    I was doing it in bagdad while you were still in dadsbag I think

    So you are telling us that you are using a DVB-T card to receive DVB-C signals are you?

    Default which CAM though?

    I had a similar query to the OP and have bought a TechnoTrend TT 1501-C PCI card. Can you tell me what CAM in need that is compatible with the Foxtel smartcard?

    Actually at one time using a Terrestrial card was possible on cable services.

    I believe the terrestrial analog service may have been piggybacked onto the cable services many moons ago, but they wouldn't have been receiving DVB-C signals (which was what the OP was after) or even DVB-T (digital) signals.
