I know this doesn't answer your question, but wouldn't prevention be better than cure? What kind of mischief are they getting up to? How much damage can they do without admin rights?
I have 3 internet caffe computers and a certain customer is sabotaging them
and stuffing them up all the time
I want the 3 computers to do a system restore every time i turn the computers on in the morning.
Is there a program that might automate this for me,
I got a program called freeze or something and that was
a bit of a over kill for what I wanted (and a bit hard to follow)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

install TerminatorX.v2.00 and disable what you want and this will stop them sabotaging you.
u know how to get hold of me if you need it.

I think the problem is that the boss wants the computers to
be able to do everything (to make the customers happy)
downloads, run programs etc
But then you get idiots that take it to far and start stuffing around with everything
The boss wants the best of both worlds
so I think system restore is a way to go
But even then they will be able to stuff with that also,
unless I incorporate TerminatorX.v2.00 with a system restore also,
Is that possible??

How about slamming the customers head through the monitor ?
Let the boss know it is a very dangerous situation allowing customers access
the the windows core in being able to install apps etc .this leaves him open to
liable suites if some one drops a key logger in the morning and comes back in the arvo and picks up what it has recorded.
At least with terminator it will stop the ability to install applications but also the ability to even get to the task manager and alike .The program has many other abilities but you could just use the items related to the operating system and leave the rest alone.
thats my 6 cents worth

best4less, I would stay away from system restore for something like this, its tempermental at best.
However, after hearing about this through a podcast called Security Now ( ) there might be a program you would use and best of all its FREE from microsoft. Its called Steady State, and sounds like what you need. Its avaliable from
Thanks guys I will do some investigating
and let you know how I get on
