    Default USB Terrestrial DVB receivers

Has anyone had any experience with USB style Terrestrial receivers for computers. I'm looking to buy one of these devices but I want to be able to receive the High definition channels. I have seen many of these devices on ebay and they all briefly mention the term "HDTV" somewhere in the description, but the resolutions that they're specifiying are usually something like 720 * 576, which isn't HD.

So my question is, what should I be looking for in a USB reciever with so many available and quoting misleading specs.

I bought the pinnacle usb one from dicksmith. works ok in hd mode but the software has a large footprint on pc. and it seems to take a lot of grunt to drive it. My old celeron laptop won't play hd, but sd is fine.

    Hhmm, Thanks guys.
The only reason I want a HD receiver is because CH10 is broadcasting the Nascar races now, but only on their HD channel. I've only just bought a new panasonic DVD recorder with a SD STB, so I'm not prepared to send several hundred dollars on HD receiver just so I can Ambrose in the Nascar races. A USB stick seems like a cheaper alternative. -Cheers

I've also bought a DIGINET DTV168 HDTV Receiver (for $20.00 at a computer market) but to my surprise there was no software CD in the box. I've found the right driver for it via Driver Detective, but not the necessary software. How do you use yours to watch TV, porkop?!!?...
