yes the new PSP can be flashed with the help of a pandora battery and special memory stick
Have a read.
Two Fats (kids) running 3.71.m33 one SLIM (mine) running 3.80 M33
Make sure you find the sony offical 3.80 update, this is the installer anything else and it wont work.

Backing up a UMD doesn't bypass any technological circumvention protection measure.
Playing the ISO backup might.
You can backup a UMD with my program on some official firmware versions, so no hacking of any sort was required.
