Default Nod 32 won't allow web browsing

G'day all, I've been running nod32 on my Vista business Toshiba satellite for quite some time, however all browsing ceased to work this morning. My little icon says I'm connected to local and internet and I can ping to anywhere I please (Google.com for instance) but neither firefox or IE allows me to browse until I turn off Nod32. I tried unchecking "web access protection" with no luck and I'm at a loss.

    Anyone else experiencing difficulties?

mate open up nod and have a look under IMON/Misc or HTTP and see if you have changed anything.

I uninstalled it completely, reinstalled it and everything was fine.....once I updated the definitions (total of 4169) it all went to shit again. It might be time to find an alternative. Funny though, it still works on my XP machine.

I can't find a solution, in the meantime I guess I'll just use the vista firewall.

Sorry, I haven't explained myself well enough....when I say I turned off Nod32 I meant I turned off nods firewall. So yes, it is a firewall issue...all the AV stuff is still functioning correctly. It has got me perplexed though because everything (including firewall) worked properly prior to the latest update. I'll continue playing.

Funny it seems to work UNTIL the update, sounds like the license key you are using might be blacklisted and the update is stopping the prog from working.

Are you using the same Key on the XP comp?

It's not a key, it's a reg patch that enables the trial to work for the next 50 000 days or so. It's still working fine on the xp machine with the same update. I got the shits and gave up, I just turned the nod32 firewall off and turned vistas on.....all the other stuff is still working (AV etc etc).
