Is there a dire reason why you'd need win 2000?
If this box is for general use, go with any flavor of linux (with wine to run windows apps) and open office.
I recommend Ubuntu/kubuntu.
If your box is very old, try slax 6.11.
Finally got around updating SP-4 to my Win2000. So when I restarted the PC, enter user/password, blue screen then error massage "Winlogon.exe created and error and will shut down...." I had to reload everything from my 2001 Win 2000 CD + Office + others to get things going again. After rescanning for viruses all is fine. Then had a 2nd go. and Winlogon. error again.
There's 15GB Free space on drive C. If I stay with SP-2 there's no problem.
Any ideas about this behaviour ?
